Coronavirus: Communication, Safeguarding, Online Safety, Catch-up Premium & Home-learning
Communication
There will be a number of lines of communication:
1. Email admin, class teachers or principal as usual through the admin@eastonroyal.excalibur.org.uk address.
2. Message class teachers or principal directly through the secure message function in SeeSaw (please note that all messages are monitored by principal and admin).
3. There will be a weekly phone or video call for a small number of families who have expressed an interest in this. This will be agreed and arranged in advance and will happen on a routine basis. Video call will be recorded.
Catch-up Premium Funding
We are using our catch-up funding to release Ms Stubbs and Mrs Turner from the classroom (covered by Miss Southwell) to work with small groups of children over 2 afternoons a week (one each).
We have assessed all pupils over the course of term one and highlighted those who would benefit from some additional support.
We are running the following catch-up programmes:
- Sound Discovery (Phonics)
- Numbers count (Maths)
- Precision Reading (Reading)
- Precision Writing (Writing)
- School-designed spelling programme
The impact of our catch-up work will be assessed through a mixture of assessments, including NFER Reading and Maths tests, Paper phonics assessments, PM Benchmark diagnostic Reading assessments and teacher assessment.
We will be reporting our results and activities to Excalibur Academies Trust and our Local Governing Body.
