Changing Schools
Currently the school has a number of vacancies in some year groups. If you are new to the area, or considering changing schools, please contact the office by telephone or e-mail to arrange an appointment.
Starting School
Children may start school in the school year (September 1st - August 31st) in which they are five. We make every effort to help the children look forward to school.
After a child has been offered a place in the Reception Year, a Reception Class Teacher will speak with the parents to arrange a visit. The visit enables the school to become familiar with the child and to address his or her particular needs from the beginning of the school year.
Reception children have an induction period of mornings only for two weeks and after such visits, the children take home a 'Playpack' which is a bag of suitable activities for the child to do at home with an adult. They then bring it back the next week, and discuss the activities with the teacher, and a different playpack can be taken home for the following week.
Liaison with Pre-School
Easton Royal has a thriving pre-school at the Village Hall. The school has excellent links with the pre-school and it is our aim to integrate the pre-school children gently into school life.

Infant staff visit the pre-school to meet staff and children. There is a parents evening for new parents in the Summer of each year and children may visit during the term before they begin school.
Parents are asked to register their child as soon as possible, as this helps the school to plan for the future.
All parents of pupils who wish to attend the school will need to complete a Wiltshire County Council admission form, which can be obtained from the school office, or directly from Wiltshire County Council.

Admission Policy
Easton Royal Primary School accepts children not only from the Village of Easton Royal itself, but from neighbouring villages and from Pewsey and the wider local area.
